What is Barebones?
Barebones is a super simple wire-framing application. It's intention is to act as a tool to help you quickly sketch out ideas for a website or application to a client during those difficult early meetings.
Barebones provides an intuitive gesture based interface that allows you to rapidly layout an attractive, ordered, low fidelity wireframe in the shortest timeframe posible.
Why did we build it?
If we're going to be honest, the £500 we each spent on our iPads was a massive waste of money. Don't get me wrong, we used to take it to client meetings to try and impress them by alluding to our connected, Web 2.0 lifestyles, but all it was really used for was to play Plants Vs. Zombies whilst waiting for the meeting to start.
We used to go into meetings, put the iPad away, pull out a notepad and pen and draw rubbish biro sketches that impressed no-one!
How does it work?
Simply start using the app, you can draw a box by… drawing a box, draw a horizontal line by… that's right, drawing a horizontal line, and then fill in a block with text by drawing a pigtail (okay, that's not the most intuitive gesture ever, but we're working on that).
How much does it cost?
You can start using the app straight away for free, however in order to save and email your sketches we ask for a small monthly fee of £5 to keep the service running (and if there's any money left, we may go to the pub and have a drink).
